| Job Description | Chronos' client seeks a reporter to cover emissions, environmental and energy issues in its Sao Paulo office. Successful applicants should have at least three years of business reporting and writing experience. A background in emissions and energy reporting is preferred. The applicant should be accustomed to producing clear and comprehensive in-depth enterprise pieces, have a record of breaking important stories, and be accustomed to writing spot stories under deadline pressure.
The reporter will be expected to set the news agenda while developing enterprise stories that capture larger trends, executing them through interviews, document research, and concise writing. A successful candidate should have the personality to develop sources that lead to exclusive stories, a thorough understanding of how policy is determined, and a commitment to speed and accuracy to cover breaking news.
