| Job Description | You will assist the Mining Manager by leading and developing a small team responsible for the mine planning, surveying and associated technical functions for the mining operations.
This will include pit optimizations, assistance in the pioneering mining activities, life of mine forecasting, reconciliation and annual mining budgets and completing economical evaluations of all production areas and associated development
You will be expected to actively train staff to develop local engineering excellence.
You must be a Qualified Mining Engineer with substantial computer mine design package experience, preferably in Surpac and Vulcan.
Only applicants with strong open cut experience backed by at least 5-6 years work experience should apply.

| Skill Required | Demonstrated maturity and leadership skills including a preparedness to train and develop a winning team accountable for results at the same time as engendering a strong team ethic through training, mentoring and support.
An absolute commitment to developing and supporting a safety focused culture in the workplace
Ability to think through problems on the job and come up with solutions in difficult operating conditions.
An appreciation and awareness of working in a foreign country and the cultural sensitivities of this.
Previous experience in an expat or international location is desirable but not essential.
